About Our Area
Moody is one of the fastest growing areas around. We are blessed to be sitting in a mission field with the world moving in next door. The Moody and Leeds area has several projects in the works involving major retail outlets and job opportunities.
Demographics
Moody is located at 33° N, 86° W. As of the 2000 census, there were 8,053 people, 3,126 households, and 2,341 families residing within the city.
Of the 3,126 households 34.6% had children under the age of 18 living in them, 60.8% were married couples living together, 10.6% had a female householder with no husband present and 25.1% were non-families.
In the city the population is spread out with:
- 26.2% under the age of 18
- 7.8% from 18 to 24
- 31.6% from 25 to 44
- 23.6% from 45 to 64
- 10.7% who were 65 and older
