Music Ministry
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God." - Colossians 3:16
First Baptist Church of Moody is a singing church! Our people appreciate the importance of music in our worship of Jesus Christ. We enjoy great congregational singing and our choir performs regularly, ministering in worship services and special events in the life of our church. We are blessed to be able to use a wide variety of spiritually meaningful music including great sacred classics, hymns, and contemporary praise music. Most of our worship services are thematic and we do our best to recognize different events throughout the year. The totality of our music program is Christ-centered as we seek to meet the spiritual needs of our church and community. We offer music training for children, youth, and adults as we provide opportunity for everyone to participate in the music ministry. Whether you sing or play an instrument, we have a place for you.
A Description of Our Music Ministries
Celebration Choir:
The Celebration choir meets Sunday at 4:30pm. This choir is a combination of adults and students and is a wonderful place of service if you enjoy singing great music.
Praise Band
If you would rather be playing an instrument than singing, this is the place for you. The band rehearses every Wednesday night at 5:30. Whether playing for congregational singing, playing with the choir, or leading instrumentally, this is a wonderful place to serve.
